Do Shampoo Bars Actually Work?

Yes, StarBars actually work! In fact, they work better than liquid shampoo.

Shampoo bars are a solid form of shampoo that were originally popular among environmentally-conscious consumers. Maybe in the past you heard about a shampoo bar and related it to natural foods stores, weird all-in-one products, or some hippy dippy product that pairs well with not shaving and bathing in streams. Or you might have thought there would be a transition period or a vinegar rinse needed.

Haha! Not even close!

Thousands of hours of research went into making StarBars. We studied the best surfactants (cleansers), and natural additives. We carefully chose all kinds of wonderful proteins, oils, and extracts that have been proven to strengthen hair, making it softer, more pliable and therefore less breakable. And all these amazing ingredients are added neat, not diluted with a bunch of water.

Liquid shampoos aren’t just diluted with water - they also contain thickeners and emulsifiers which don’t add anything to your hair. Those ingredients are just in there to hold the mixture together.

StarBars are luxury shampoo. The formulas are similar to top salon brands. All that’s missing is the water, and the plastic bottle.

Not all shampoo bars are created equal though. Some companies use cheaper ingredients and fillers like starches, cheap oils and waxes. If you’ve tried a shampoo bar in the past and didn’t love it, don’t give up on bars.

StarBars offers four different formulas. All are safe for color treated hair. All are gentle enough to use every day, but you may find your hair stays cleaner longer and you won’t have to wash it as often. You will also experience less breakage.

So yes, a shampoo bar can work for you.
